// TERMS OF SERVICE ////

Terms of Service

effective july 2, 2026

These terms are the deal between you and Block Party (that's us, the Stutter Brothers, in Los Angeles). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them.

What Block Party is

Block Party is a practice tool for adults who stutter: guided practice with technique exemplars, a live speaking-pace companion for meetings, and pre/post-meeting reflection prompts. It measures pace and helps you reflect. It never scores fluency.

What Block Party is not

Block Party is not medical care, speech therapy, or a substitute for working with a speech-language pathologist or any other clinician. It offers practice structure, not diagnosis or treatment. If you want clinical support, please see a qualified professional.

Your account

You must be 18 or older. Keep your credentials to yourself — you're responsible for activity on your account. Give us a real email so we can reach you about your account.

Beta status

Block Party is in a small beta. Features will change, sometimes break, and occasionally disappear as we learn. We'll do our best to be careful with your data throughout (see the Privacy Policy), but we can't promise uninterrupted or error-free service.

Fair use

Use Block Party personally and normally. Don't abuse it: no attempting to access other people's data, no probing or overloading the service, no reselling it, and no using it to record people without their consent. Live pace monitoring is capped at 4 hours per day per account to keep the service affordable for everyone.

Your content

Your recordings and reflections are yours. You give us only the limited permission needed to store and process them so the app can work for you — nothing more. Delete them whenever you like.

Our content

The app, its design, and the practice passages and exemplar recordings are ours. Use them within the app; don't copy or redistribute them.

Ending things

You can stop using Block Party and ask us to delete your account anytime (email hello@joinblock.party). We can suspend or close accounts that violate these terms.

Disclaimers & liability

Block Party is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, and our total liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the past twelve months (during the free beta: zero).

Governing law & changes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. If we change them, we'll update this page and the date at the top, and email you about anything significant. Questions? hello@joinblock.party.
